We are trying to find a developer that has experience developing APIs with products. This project is the initial step, and will have subsequent phases. This will likely be the beginning of a long term relationship with a developer that is experienced with APIs, which we are using across numerous referral marketing venues and websites. If you have extensive experience with developing tools for other Product Lookup APIs, such as Amazon MWS or other similar high-volume retail product sites, then please apply for this posting. See documentation for at I am hoping to build an app that allows us to pull Walmart Product information in bulk. Lookup will use a CSV file or .txt file, such as the one that is attached. Inputs will be either: (A) UPC codes (see tab 1) or (B) URLs (see tab 2) of products found on website. The attached specs contain the initial list of Product Attributes requested. Additionally, the tool should have the following characteristics. 1. Pulls information at/near the calls per second limits. The initial stated limits are 5 calls per second and 5,000 calls per day. We are hoping there is a way to substantially increase the per day limits to as many as 100,000 per day. 2. If we are able to increase the calls per day to 100,000, include feature that allows opting out of attributes that consume excessive amounts of data including: short description, long description, category path, thumbnailimage 3. Displays the thumbnail image in separate cell, if possible 4. Ensure that errors (such as invalid URLs or invalid UPCs) and brief internet outages do not crash the app. Perhaps include feature that allows us to resume with last Lookup item, in the event that the item does crash. If the 3rd and 4th features will take substantial time (i.e, more than 5 hours total), then we can wait to add them in phase 2.
