I am creating a proof of concept jqGrid application which talks to Node.js+express backend services. Node.js currently talks to a MongoDB database and provides results via a very simple REST api. I would like to add additional Node.js "routes" to support a data manager front end which will be using jqGrid. A jqGrid request provides a variety of parameters such as a search criteria, rows displayed, page number, sort index and sort order and the web-service must then provide the correct page of data back.
For this proof of concept I will have a single MongoDB collection with the following elements:
Final product should be able to display interact with the MongoDB driver and present the proper set of records back in the response based on the jqGrid request. The response format must also be properly formed to match the jqGrid expected JSON format.
This should work with the latest release of MongoDB, jqGrid and Node.js.
You may also make use of other utilities such as Mongoose or other MongoDB helpers if needed to support the filtering, and record selection, in support of pagination.
The final product and all of its utilities should support an Unbunt 14.04LTS-based environment. This system is currently installed on Linux Mint MATE 17.3 but previously was on Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS.
I may not have access to my email while I am at work but will check my email every morning and evening. I am also available in the evenings (UTC-4) for discussions.
