We have an existing Apache configuration with about 65 rewrite rules. We want you to: 1) Create a test suite that can be run from the Linux command line (e.g. bash, nodejs, etc) to make http requests and validate existing configuration checking for HTTP status code and/or content returned We will review this test suite before moving on to step 2. 2) We want to shorten our URLs with a new mod_rewrite rule. Currently we have two types of URLs that users see: http://host/index.cfm/event/my-event/any/number/of/parameters?and=query&string=too http://host//em360/index.cfm/event/my-event/any/number/of/parameters?and=query&string=too Each URL may have an arbitrary number of parameters in the path_info and/or an arbitrary number of query string parameters that need to be passed through. You will add a mod_rewrite rule to our <VirtualHost> definition that hides the "/index.cfm/event" portion of the URLs above so they become: http://host/my-event/any/number/of/parameters?and=query&string=too http://host/em360/my-event/any/number/of/parameters?and=query&string=too You cannot use .htaccess files - the configuration *must* work inside an existing <VirtualHost> block. This is just like Wordpress sites that want to hide index.php. However, we want all other requests that try to access actual files to still be passed through. E.g., if an image is requested or another cfm page or a css file - those should be passed through to the real underlying file. Only when there is no match should we rewrite to the index.cfm. Add URLs to the unit test suite that demonstrates the above requirements. 3) Finally, convert all of our existing rewrite rules from Apache mod_rewrite to Nginx 1.9+ We are going to migrate from Apache to Nginx and so need the mod_rewrite rules to be available to our Nginx configuration prior to migration later this year. Acceptance testing: Your work will be accepted when the unit tests pass both the Apache and Nginx setups.

We need to set up a multi tenant system for our clients so that they can have sites hosted on one server and and email on another. We want the setup to be automated so that virtual host information is added automatically upon account initiation. We also want to set up a separate email server that can host the clients' emails for multiple domains. We have the application working in PHP, so will need help setting up the email server and creating shell scripts that we can invoke with PHP to create and manage both the domain and email accounts. We've identified Zimbra as a good mail server option, but are open to better alternatives. We have left budget $5/$5000 so that you can bid based on the time you expect to spend on this task. Thanks.

We have 2 dedicated servers. One server contains a VM in which nginx is running. Another server contains a VM in which a database mysql is running. We have configured nginx and connected to mysql. The setup is fine and working correctly. However what we have noticed an issue with performance of page loading. There is no issue with the application code, because same code and database is running on another server already. Its a live site and we had to migrate to our servers. And on live site, we are not facing this issue. So there is no need of doing any application level optimizations. However what is required to be done is debug the setup and check why the page loading is taking time whenever any node save happens and fix it. Skills required 1. Experience with performance tuning 2. Nginx 3. Drupal and mysql 2. Load testing 3. Drupal setup 4. Experience with Nginx and mysql
