I need someone to help me with the statistical analysis link to a clinical research project recently completed: 1) Objective 1: To compare the effects of various combinations of four slopes (S=4) and three velocities (V=3) during manual wheelchair prolusion on a treadmill on cardiorespiratory outcome measures among individuals with a spinal cord injury (N=17). a. All excel sheets represent a variable that is relevant for the study (except the randomization order). All variables are continuous variables except the RPE that is categorical/ordinal. b. The values that are in red in the excel sheets were estimated based on a regression equation computed with the data of the participants who completed all combinations. This should be verified before initiating further statistics. c. Comparisons for repeated measures need to be made using the slope and velocity factors and the statistical differences need to be clearly identified with the appropriate tests. d. Strength of the statistics / effect size estimator needs to be included whenever possible 2) Objective 2: To propose an equation estimating the variable VO2 pointe (ml kg min) that is presented on a specific excel sheet. a. A regression equation needs to be generated using the S and V variables. b. Strength of the equation need to be included. c. Possibly compute the future sample size needed to further test the equation generated if possible. The choice of parametric or non-parametric statistitcs needs to be discussed. All statistics performed need to be clearly defined in a paragraph that will be integrated into the manuscript. All results need to be clearly highlighted in a paragraph that will be integrated into the manuscript. Table(s) and/or Figure(s) summarizing the results and key statistics need(s) to be prepared for the submission of the manuscript. The use of a p-value of 0.05 is needed and should be corrected whenever multiple comparisons are being performed. SPSS format is preferred for the statistical analyses.

Hi there, I'm looking for someone well-versed in statistics and database management to provide some consultation & advice regarding how we can structure and re-organize a database we already have to allow us to compare the responses of independent raters and determine degree of agreement. Although I have some familiarity with this, the problem with this project is that there is such a vast number of variables involved, each with multiple levels of responses, and two raters for each... so we are having difficulty determining how best to analyze the inter-rater reliability when there are so many variables and in most variables multiple types of possible responses (rather than just two, yes or no, there are at times 5-6 different response options and things have gotten a bit complicated). We will not provide access to the entire database due to confidentiality reasons but will provide you with any information you would like to come up with a strategy for us. Your role will NOT be to analyze the results but to advise us on how to re-structure and re-organize the current database to allow us to run this analysis in the simplest way possible using SPSS. To be considered, please reply with your experience and expertise in data analysis, the particular types of analyses involved in this project, as well as SPSS software. The budget listed is just random... please quote your requested price for the consultation (via email, skype, etc.) and how long you think it would take for your to come up with a solution. Thanks! HH

Short-term project - am looking at the health financing/poverty data from the World Bank and World Health Survey in about 40 low and middle-income countries. I am specifically looking at national income levels, income, GDP/capita, health expenditure, total health expenditure, etc to quantify the effect out-of-pocket health expenditure has on poverty. I have an extended statement and background for the project written up, but need help with the statistics/analysis that should be very straight forward once the data is cleaned and ready. If interested, please let me know and I can send over the zip file of my materials and methodology..
