We are looking to build a smaller scale version of the Politifact website, which will be mainly a home page and single pages to represent the statements we will fact check. We want to have the site be inspired by the design of the Politifact website. The elements of the site will be: Home page that lists the statements we're fact checking. Individual pages for the fact-checking of statements. A rating scale of how truthful we decided those statements are. The subjects of the fact checking are limited to Clinton and Trump. We will need a database to hold the fact checks so we can add and update them. We need a quick turnaround on this. It needs to be done by Sunday, September 25th.

I am looking for someone who has REAL EXPERIENCE with WeChat Authentication for Web-apps. I have a web-app called Winsite and currently have facebook and SMS authentication. I want to add WeChat authentication to our Web-app so that our Chinese users can login. An example that i've seen with WeChat auth. is on mobile apps and games. In order to play users have the option to sign-in through WeChat. They select the WeChat option and are then taken to WeChat app automatically. They then sign-in using their WeChat account (if they are already signed in I believe the sign-in is automatic) and then are taken back to the game/app to continue playing. I want to implement this exact same functionality for my Web-app. Real simple. When using the Web-app on a laptop/desktop instead of being taken to the WeChat app user will be required to scan a QR code on their phone which will then open the WeChat app on their phone and then require login, once this is complete the Web-app should be authenticated automatically. ** I not sure if this is the process, this is what I assume the process is** I have an Official WeChat Service Account created in China, so you will have full access to the WeChat API.

The Hit by the Bus Book I need someone to design an engaging interface that encourages users to answer simple questions about things they need to have in one place if they die (for example - get hit by a bus!). This book includes basic family information, financial relationships, health care contacts and directives and emergency planning. This tool will also allow users to upload key documents that will be important when they die. I also want to add questions on "how I want to be remembered" to encourage people to be intentional by sharing ceremonies, memories, mementos and philosophies that they want to leave for their loved ones. By having the most basic information in a well designed "book" (with chapters on "My Family", "My Financial Network", "My Healthcare", etc) that will help users to be organized and save their loved ones hours of tedious phone calls and meeting to gather key personal information. The specific deliverables I'm looking for include: * - overall design aesthetic for user interface (current thinking is using the metaphor of a "book" as central organizing principle) * - design of question pages (e.g. name/address/phone/etc.)... max 50 questions * - design of interface to upload key documents (will be part of database)... max 20 documents * - ability to "gamify" (make engaging) filling out these forms * - taking input from question pages and build database of info * - taking database info and repurposing into digital "book" (.pdf) to help family members I envision that the final product is a thumbdrive that users get from a website (or a family member, trusted advisor, pastor, etc.). The user plugs the harddrive into their computer and is led through the list of questions. The answers to the questions populate a database. The database is used to a final document (electronic "book") that lays out the information from the questions in an intuitive/easy to digest format. When I talk about "gamification", it's about making a pretty tedious process engaging. I think about how LinkedIN encourages users to complete their profile. Completing the profile will consist of answering questions and uploading key documents. Target audience for this product is mostly men (dads) who are 45+ years of age. Secondary target is older men/women who want an easy way to organize this kind of information. In both cases, this product helps them feel more in control and gives them satisfaction that they’ve done their best to have their affairs “buttoned up” should they get hit by a bus!

We have a SaaS web app - standard LAMP stack. - It has a MySQL v5.6 database - It runs on PHP v 5.6 - It runs several cron jobs (each genreating data to be stored, and processing data - so there are queries running; the cron jobs run non-stop to get data into the app, and to share data to social networks based on user-defined schedule) We recently updated the app to these versions. Now, we want to work with an EXPERT who can: 1) review code, and identify slow-running queries and fix them 2) fine-tune and optimize all the queries within the app 3) improve overall performance of the database / functionality through optimization of queries 4) recommend and provide ways to further improve the speed of the app This can be done all at once within a day, or can be done across a few days. We need you to work with me and my developers - work together. We use Skype an Slack to communicate throughout the day (EDT timezone). We'll want you to be very communicative and responsive and review with us all findings, fixes, and recommendations. Ideal candidate has certifications in MySQL / SQL Server / AWS RDS, etc. and has worked in a similar performance optimization capacity. Please provide detailed example of similar gigs where you played such a role for web applications. TO APPLY: Please include the following as first line of your response. All responses without this line will automatically be rejected. "I kill poor-performing Database Queries daily"

The project is to edit and partially re-design and existing database for capturing electrical engineers test reports and producing certificates for their work. The database must be responsive, having a layout for Mac OSX, iPad and iPhone. The majority of the data capture will be done using iOS devices. Most of the fields and required layouts have been decided, so the work will be to design the visual element of the layout, and all of the relevant scripting. The scripts must include full offline sync, so that the ipads have enough relevant information on them, as well as all of the data input on the ipads synchronised back to the main (hosted) file. There is already a fully functional offline sync working, more fields need to be added to this.
