Looking for experienced EE to test out a theory/idea - need someone familiar with the use and underlying principles of a time domain reflectometer who can help with a different use case. I am looking for someone to prepare Orcad schematics according to my guidenss. This will include defining (or importing) symbols for all the components, and then connectig them together according to my instructions. This design has ~20 IC's, one of them (microcontroller) has 100 connections, other has <20 connections. I estimate 100-200 discrete elemnts will be needed. The output needed is an orcad file which will be used for designing a PCB layout.

I am looking for an experienced electrical engineer / hardware designer to design a PCB with the following specifications: Basically, the project can be seen like adding a Raspberry Pi 3 to an Arduino Mega 256 with added input and output handling of industrial compatible signals. The input section consists of 4x or 8x analog input of 24V DC as well as one or two power-based inputs of 0-20mA of the same voltage. Digital Inputs of 24V DC are also needed. All Inputs should be isolated from the inner circuit. The output section consists of 8x digital outputs which have 24V and are solid-state or relay based. In case of the latter the used relays should be capable of handling up to 230V AC at a moderate load. A different combination would be having 4x 24V solid state and 4x 230V relay based outputs. As mentioned above the unit will be used in industrial-like environments so it is highly required to isolate the i/o section from the inner circuit through some kind of protection circuit. All the I/Os should be connected to the ATmega2560. The ATmega itself will be connected to the Raspberry Pi over one of its UART. To provide Arduino compatibility the Arduino-typical automatic reset-circuit should be implemented as well. So basically it's based on the open source schematic from Arduino. The I/O section should also feature LED-based indicator whether a channel is set or not. Also very important, the UART, SPI and I2C should be carried over to a connector so that additional modules can connect to the board later on. The Raspberry Pi 3 will be plugged onto the board from the top and upside down. In the middle of the PCB there should be some connectors and screw-holes to match the footprint of the Raspberry Pi. The whole circuit should be integrated on a single PCB with a dimension of about 16x16cm. I can provide more detailed informations as well as some basic sketches of how I imagine the circuit or elements connected to each other. But I think that this information is enough to get an overview of the size of the project. Please feel free to ask any question!

I am looking to create a project based on an already existing reference design. The reference design is the SimpleLink™ multi-standard CC2650 SensorTag™ kit reference available at http://www.ti.com/tool/TIDC-CC2650STK-SENSORTAG?keyMatch=null&tisearch=tidesigns. The design is quite simple and you basically need to create the KiCad project following the reference design guidelines, schematics and PCB routing/creation recommendations. The deliverables should be all files as in the reference design for which a functional prototype board can be created. I have a STA-RITE MAX-E-THERM Pool heater and I want to hook up a Raspberry Pi to read the temperature output. I'm OK at programming but not the electrical wiring part.
