I have a game that was developed in Flash and Actionscript 2, and was published to the web several years ago. The game originally used a number of APIs from Mochigames.com, prior to the collapse of the company. The game still appears on many websites across the web, but without the functionality it once had. This functionality was a big part of its appeal so I'm looking to return the game to its previous state.
I am seeking a Flash Developer who is familiar with all aspects of publishing games, to re-implement suitable APIs to replace the original Mochi APIs. These APIs include:
1. In-game advertising
2. High Score Leader Board
I am also interesting in possibly tweaking the current game to add further functionality with:
5. Live updates
I'm not sure it's possible to obtain all these APIs from one source so I would like to hear suggestions on the best way to go.
Please include the following responses with your application:
a) experience with game development, publishing games and your experience with API implementation
b) in your opinion, the best APIs you know of for each of the APIs listed above
At this stage APIs 1-3 are the priority. APIs 4 and 5 are not a necessity but I wanted to list them as a potential future consideration.
This upgrade has been put off for some time to make way for other projects, and is long overdue! I do not have the time to do this myself as I am not familiar with APIs currently available, so I'm seeking a competent operator who has recent experience in this area.
I would like to stick with Actionscript 2 for now to be consistent with the original game. I'm planning to build a sequel to the game which will be converted to AS3 but that's down the track. Your success with this small project will place you in a good position for future projects.
If you are a suitable fit, I will give you more details about the game, however it's not essential at this stage
