Looking for an experienced maps expert to draw a vector river map of the US. I want a finished map similar to the one done by Nelson Minar here . He provides the instructions needed to construct the map here: as well as links to other programmers versions like Mike Bostock's version here The final version needs to be a vector format in Adobe Illustrator for use in printing with all rights attached. I'd like an estimate on hours needed to complete the project.

We are looking for polygon data of Swiss regions (cantons). If you know a creative solution that does not require polygon data, that is fine too. The standard Tableau map of Swiss regions does not satisfy us. The reason is that our regions data contains individual regions, merged regions, and a country. Specifically we need polygon data of these regions, one custom region per line: 1. aargau 2. appenzell (two cantons merged into one region) 3. basel (two cantons merged into one region) 4. berne 5. fribourg 6. geneva 7. glarus 8. grisons 9. jura 10. liechtenstein (not a swiss canton, but a country) 11. lucerne 12. neuchatel 13. nid- & obwalden (two cantons merged into one region) 14. schaffhausen 15. schwyz 16. solothurn 17. st gallen 18. thurgau 19. ticino 20. uri 21. valais 22. vaud 23. zug 24. zurich Our goal is to display these regions coloured by some measure like sales. The polygon data should be of the format that is supported by Tableau. We believe these columns need to be present: polygon id, point order, latitude, longitude, region name. Please note if you know a way to achieve our goal without using custom polygon data we are happy too. (We have looked into custom geocoding but it looks like it will not be possible.)

We are looking for a GIS Technician who can process large amounts of data captured in the field, looking for errors and cross referencing with other datasets. ... We work in an innovate environment where we create software to interact with GIS technologies, so some programming and server experience would be an asset, but it not absolutely essential.

For catchment description is necessary to integrate the knowledge about the topography, land use and soil characteristics, in order to understand the catchment behavior. For example, the catchment area is quite important to estimate mean response reactions. A headwater catchment in a mountainous region is expected to react faster than the following main catchment far downstream in the lowlands. Furthermore land use and soil characteristics indicate the storage behavior of the catchment. Many of the characteristics can be linked to form an overall image of the estimated dominant runoff processes within the catchment.
