Looking for an experienced developer for a 1-3 month project developing web-based estimating software for a construction company that specializes in kitchen and bath remodels. You should have experience in GUI design and the ability to give feedback on how the software is structured. Once the software is completed it will be offered to different construction business using SAAS biz model.
Features of the program include the following:
a. Create a set-up area where the construction company can enter their company info and have password protected areas that are only available to different individuals based on their password credentia.
a. Ability to create, update, change and archive client address and contact info.
b. Ability to create, save, date and time stamp different versions of a client's remodeling project estimate.
c. Ability to create a cost estimate where different line items (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.) are calculated using three different possible cost methods (hourly, unit cost or time and materials).
d. Ability to choose from a database of specifications the different specifications that are unique to the clients remodeling project.
e. A simple database where the contractor can create a shopping list for the different building materials unique to the client's project. Each item in the shopping list has approximately 12 fields.
f. A boiler plate contract that can be modified for each client's project.
g. A Forms repository where different forms are created and stored.
h. a storage file for each client where forms or photos unique to each client's project is stored.
This is a full time project and needs to be completed including testing within 90 days of commencing project.
You must have a strong command of the English language, be self-directed, be available to talk on Skype during California time daily between the hours of 10AM and 6PM.
Project includes documentation on how set up a new client with the software.
Project includes six months of post development to fix bugs.
Successful candidate will end up with a long term relationship developing future software derivative work and additional programs. This first project is a test project as part of building a possible long term, full time position.
