Deccan International’s Mission is to provide optimal solutions for both strategic and real-time deployment planning, focused on improving security and responsiveness in public safety operations. Through constant innovation, domain expertise, and strength in operations research, Deccan provides comprehensive solutions with its unique project management approach and unparalleled client service.
One of our software solutions, LiveMUM, enables users to monitor coverage levels for emergency resources (ambulances, fire engines, etc.) in a real-time environment. The application is setup in a client-server architecture, with the server processing incoming data and coverage scores, which are in turn displayed on the client. Currently, the client is browser based but does not scale well for use on cell phones and tablets. The client incorporates both an interactive, constantly updating map display as well as data tables that describe current unit activities and locations.
Given that Deccan is new to hiring on this site, we would like to take a phased approach. We will hire up to four qualified freelancers to complete Phase I, which will essentially be to design a template of the application using raw files (text files of what Web Services would provide in an active environment). From there, a single freelancer will be hired for Phase II, which will be to integrate the mobile version of the website with our web services code.
A Functional Specifications document and a base design will be provided. Samples of previous work (app, sites, etc.) should be submitted with responses.
