Looking for a way for outlook to atomically create a task based on text string (zzxx#d) placed in body of an outgoing email. zz = indicates the beginning of the string xx = indicates the category (wo = waiting on reply, fu = follow up) #d = indicates how many days till due date For instance: (omit the <> characters from the formats below) zzwo1d = Creates a task with the Subject: <email recipient's name> : <email subject> Due date 1 day from now with the category of <Waiting on reply> zzwo7d = Creates a task with the Subject: <email recipient's name> : <email subject> Due date 7 days from now with the category of <Waiting on reply> zzfu3d = Creates a task with the Subject: <email recipient's name> : <email subject> Due date 3 day from now with the category of <follow up> zzfu30d = Creates a task with the Subject: <email recipient's name> : <email subject> Due date 30 days from now with the category of <follow up> ---- Example with task creation ---- (creates a Creates a task with the Subject: Greg Sowell: transfer question Due: May 14, 2016 Category: Waiting on reply From: Joshua Abramson Sent: Tuesday, May 17, 2016 10:57 AM To: Greg Solwel greg@somewhere.com Subject: transfer question Original message. zzwo7d ---- End example with task creation ---- This scrip needs to be able to omit these strings from previous messages. For instance: I send an email with zzwo1d in the body and a task is created. The recipient replies to my "original message" with a "request of clarification" and I need to send a "response" that does not require the creation of a new task. Therefore; when I reply to the recipient, another task does not need to be created even though zzwo1d at the bottom of the email string. ---- Example with filter and no task creation ---- (no new task is created) From: Joshua Abramson Sent: Tuesday, May 17, 2016 10:57 AM To: Greg Sowell <gsowell@somehwere.com> Subject: transfer question Response From: Greg Sowell <gsowell@somehwere.com> Sent: Wednesday, May 18, 2016 1:50 PM To: Joshua Abramson Subject: RE: transfer question request of clarification From: Joshua Abramson Sent: Tuesday, May 17, 2016 10:57 AM To: Greg Sowell <gsowell@somehwere.com> Subject: transfer question Original message zzwo ---- End example with filter and no task creation ----

I have an excel spreadsheet with approximately 70,000 records that I need to send Recurring Calendar invites to using Microsoft Access VBA and Outlook. I have already written the code for sending calendar invites and have been using it successfully for months. I am just not familiar with recurring calendar invites and rather than searching the internet for sample code, would rather hire someone to help me write this simple code. Once I have the code that creates and sends out one recurring calendar invite, I can handle the rest as far as looping through my database and sending cancelations and invites, etc. I basically just need a working sample Outlook Calendar Invite code.
