1. Develop a RMS compliant API to read guest information and ckeckin status to enable authenication to the Internet Access system provided by Duxtel. 2.Develop the API to return purchase information to the RMS system to be billed to the guests account. Skills required will include Cold Fusion coding, Postgres database experience, Responsive Web and CSS skinning capabilities. The developer would liase with our technical manager for access to the Duxtel database prepare the API for compliance with the RMS Public Interface Specifications (document attached). A summary of the project outcomes and functionality is shown below. A more detailed scope of works would be provided prior to appointment. Customer Interface When the customer arrives in their apartment, they will encounter a WiFi Internet service managed by the DuxCommander System. The API should monitor the guest details and room checkin status. Connecting to WiFi or In-room Ethernet From experience, trouble-free compatibility with a wide range of client devices is needed to ensure customer satisfaction. There are choices to be made regarding password strategy; considerations include individual passwords derived from the room and guest name, whole of building standard passwords and perpetual VIP and Staff access. Guests would then authenticate individually to the WiFi or cabled IP Network and be passed to the captive portal of the DuxCommander Internet access system for Internet Access with free and purchased plans available. Points to note: 1. set a unique password per check-in 2. password per check-in status/details provide validity for access 3. visibility in a dashboard page for reference by Hospitality staff 4. apartment number may have default pre-fill when authenticating 5. Authentication should always fail against checked out apartment numbers 6. Authentication should succeed when someone provides the correct password with a room number and surname which, after stripping of /capitalization /spaces /accents /punctuation, matches the corresponding stripped surname from the currently checked-in reservation for that room number. for supportability, the stripping process makes it necessary to be able to query / see the surname and its stripped version Purchasing service When a valid guest (Checkin Status – True) selects an access plan, information is to be returned from the DuxCommander system to the RMS system and posted to that guests account, showing; 1. Internet Access initiated 2. Type and value of plan charge (including Free Access) 3. Connection status (online/offline showing on Hospitality Staff Dashboard) State changes or name/account changes should trigger these actions: If status is checked in: Status change to Checked-in should trigger: • password update per customer surname • application of configured check-in policy starting plan Changes to the checked-in account number should trigger: • password update per customer surname • pro-rata refund & cancellation of a purchased plan • application of configured check-in policy starting plan Changes to the checked-in name should trigger: • password update per customer surname If status is checked out: Status change to checked-out should trigger cancellation of a purchased plan. State storage should include: • property ID • room ID • room number descriptor string • checked-in status • handed-back status (we set this flag when a room is no longer used in the system) • last-update timestamp • firstname / surname details as per RMS • stripped/converted surname as matched during authentication • an account number suitable for use when posting charges • additional unused reference details from the reservation: • reservation id • client id Staff Toolset Supported services are checked-in rooms/apartments under RMS management. Support workflows require web access allowing inspection of the state table for the currently detected status of a room. This provides a place to expose staff tools, such as: max logins, online, data usage or manual refunds and charges could be processed from here. Details from the DuxCommander system including: 1. Listing of plan purchases per room/building/group. 2. View of the equipment-assignment list and status. 3. In relation marks there are the following columns: id, words, reg, icgs: id primary key integer, words varchar(640) (not unique), reg bit(2), icgs varchar(128) (of numbers separated by semicolon) In relation persons there are the following columns: id, person id primary key integer, person text (unique) We need a search program that upon user's query will search for identical and similar designations (words column in relation marks), as well as identical and similar persons (in relation persons) that are stored in the database, and return a list of ID and relevance (from max similarity to min similarity).
