Thank you for viewing my job listing. This job posting is likely best suited for experience mechanical engineers who are looking for some side work.
I am working on a small project that requires a mechanical lever that moves up/down. I have drawings of what Is needed, but will try to spell It out below (attached is a very, very basic mock up just to give you a visual):
The small mechanical arm attaches to a hollow 1/4” bar inside a container (or cartridge) – my vision would be the arm goes inside the hollow bar to ‘attach’. It then pushes the lever down to a specific point (around 7” of distance). Inside the container (cartridge) is a gooey substance that is forced out with the hollow bar. The motor/servo that you will likely be using should have variable speed and have a decent amount of torque to push the substance out.
I would be happy to go into more details and share some images/photos of what is needed. This should be a fairly simple and straight forward project for most. I am not looking for complexity – I take the keep it simple approach.
You will need to source all parts, including but not limited to motor/servo, metal, sheet metal, chains, screws, etc. Depending on what is decided, I will likely require 4 working models. The cost of the products can be separated from the job. I am open to discussion on this.
Thank you for your interest! Looking forward to discussing the project with you!
Ps: I am located in Southern California.
