My name is Richard and I lead a software development team based in New Jersey. We are looking to quickly hire 20-25 people to help us test some issues that we are having with our user-interface. For now we can only hire Windows users, and we would prefer Windows 7 or 8 (that seems to be the problem area for us). The job itself should be very quick and easy, essentially we would like you to boot up our UI, take screenshots, and send them back to us. After we see how the UI is faring, we may then ask you to do some basic tasks within the tool and screenshot them to us.
Ideally we are looking for freelancers with some A/B testing/beta-testing experience, but please feel free to apply if you are a Windows user. I believe this should only take 30 minutes and do not feel the need to write a lengthy proposal. We will do our best to interview everyone and if we do not hire you now we may come back to you later for other projects.
In case you are curious - we are developing easy-to-use software for self-storage companies (the garages that you can rent), that will allow them to list and rent their available units online. We are running into several issues with how our user interfaces look across different operating systems, in particular Windows 7 & 8. In addition, there seems to be some conflicts with other programs running. This is why instead of testing in-house, we thought it would be better to get a wide range of sample systems.
Thank you very much for your consideration!
