If you have experience doing general transcription, an eye for detail and a strong work ethic, we could be looking for you! Be sure to read this job description in full before moving on. The vast majority of our work is interviews and focus groups and multiple conversations. It is general transcription. The focus groups are not hard to do, so don’t panic when you see the words ‘focus groups’. We are ideally looking for someone who would want a minimum of five hours of audio per week but with the understanding that availability can fluctuate unpredictably. These transcripts get used mostly for internal purposes but once in a while clients will sometimes request to see transcripts as well. The transcripts can make a difference. Base pay STARTS at $10/audio hour 12-hr turnaround, (higher if the audio is more complicated, such as focus groups). We offer incentive pay as well as periodic bonuses for work that is outstanding and for those who show excellent communication and keeping us apprised of what you are working on. Hello! I am looking to hire a few freelancers who can accurately transcribe segments of 10 1/2 hours of audio. This audio comes from over 50 separate clips that range in length from 10-15 minutes. I have a budget of about $200 for this whole project. Freelancers will be paid at a rate of $15-20/audio hour. This is contingent upon meeting the below deadline and providing an accurate transcription that adheres to my style guide. Attached you will find a style guide for transcriptions. If you submit a proposal for this job or accept an offer, you understand your transcripts must meet the expectations outlined in the style guide to receive full payment.
