I need to be able to calculate the cost of Losses due to air friction. I have multiple air compressors with a very high volume of airflow.

I need some type of calculator that will allow me to determine optimal Pipe-size and to be able to calculate the Resulting economic losses Based on the distance traveled, surface type, etc.

To give me an idea of your understanding, please answer the following question. Name other elements besides distance and surface type that can affect losses?


As a simple test, please calculate the Standard, optimal pipe size for 20,000 CFM using PVC sch. 80 for a distance of 1 meter @ 170 PSI
