I'm looking for at least one person to read mostly short fiction books and critique them. So if you like reading fiction...this could be a really cool job for you.
The critique doesn't have to be long, but it should include a couple of well thought out points that you think could be improved on. This is because your pointers will actually be used to improve the manuscript. So you have to at least be an "experienced reader" or writer of fiction...
If you have experience editing books that's a plus, since you'll probably have a well-trained eye for improving manuscripts. So look at this as editing without having to do any of the editing yourself :-)
1. Tell me what experience/skills/knowledge you bring to the table and why you can provide constructive feedback.
2. Do you enjoy reading?
3. How many words can you handle (read) each week?
4. I will pay a fixed rate based on the word count of the manuscript. Tell me what your suggested rate is per 5000 words. (use that as your bid for this job)
The bid is very important...as I will be choosing candidates based on that amongst other things. The way I see it, if you enjoy reading, getting free books to read is not too bad either :-)
I look forward to seeing your application!
