I need some assitance in setting up a CISCO 7940G IP phone so it works with SIP.
My VOIP provider is a company called Voipfone and the outbound proxy ip address is 126.96.36.199. My internal network router address 192.168.0.1 which supplies DHCP addresses.
I have attached a SIP firmware package but this doesn't include any XML or cnf files. That's the bit I don't quite understand. Therefore I want the freelancer to download the firmware packages, extract them, create the relevant XML and CNF files (SIPDefault.cnf etc??) within the extracted folder, zip that folder then email to me. (If you feel this is the incorrect firmware for my phone, could you find the correct one instead and perform the same task.)
I have installed TFTPd 32 on my laptop which will point to the extracted folder. Hopefully when I reboot the phone and press the reset sequence, the SIP firmware will then install correctly.
