I received a letter today from Getty Images for Copyright Infringement.
Apparently a couple of my bloggers used images that were subject to copyright protection.
I take copyright very seriously first of all, as a writer of hypnotic recordings myself.
I am a long time customer, constantly purchasing stock photos also from istockphoto.com (owned by Getty Images) And I have bought royalty free clips and and background music from many online retailers.
I am personally extra careful when it comes to this, especially being a creative person myself. I highly respect the rights of those who create art for a living.
It's so unfortunate, that I hired people that lack these same ethics.
I am hoping that you could help me compose a response letter to Getty Images, to apologize and hopefully rectify the situation such that I do not have to pay the $1655 they are demanding from me.
You need to know that there are 2 images in question. I have already removed these images. They are giving my 14 days to respond, however, I don't check my mail that often, and so the date of the letter was January 10th. They also provide a toll free number.
