We are looking for a versatile and reliable developer who can handle challenging back-end implementation (RoR) as well as basic front-end/UI work for a fun and meaningful project. Your time will probably be equally divided about 25% improving existing code and 75% developing new features from scratch. In the coming months we will be focusing a lot on making our interface really intuitive and building features that increase the viral nature of our product. We are looking for an single individual, not a team of developers.
More specifically, we are looking for someone with experience in most or all of the following, which will constitute the bulk of the work over the next 45-60 days:
-storing and displaying location data (on maps)
-storing and loading multiple images
-scraping other web content (specifically title, description & image from a page)
Extra bonus if you are familiar with Solr, SendGrid or Twilio. Please say so in your message to us.
You will be joining after almost a year of part-time development, so you must be comfortable learning and working with others code.
