The Portlight Team
Since Portlight’s founding in 2009 in a Quinnipiac University dorm room, the company has been fostering its own unique startup culture, expanding into new product categories, and envisioning the future of e and m-commerce. Today, Portlight is an e-retailer specializing within the toys, baby, home décor, furniture, kitchen, office, fangear, sports, and seasonal industries. Portlight has partnered with Channel Advisor to expand its 150,000 product inventory from Amazon to eBay, Sears, Best Buy, Newegg, Rakuten, and Shop.com. In 2014, Portlight also plans to begin building its own website and mobile application.
Portlight consists of the following five core teams that strive together to achieve the purpose and dream that we have set forth: R&D, Sales, Product Management, Order Fulfillment, and Customer Service.
The Portlighter will be responsible for handling various tasks within the 5 core Portlight teams. You will be working in a 10+ group of Odesk clients receiving tasks from a team leader to achieve critical tasks.
Ability to work 40 hours per week
Ability to work on a set schedule 7 days a week
Understanding of Google sheets, Gmail, and data entry skills
Strong knowledge of the English language
A personal Gmail account
A working Skype account
Excellent Internet connection
