It is a site for local schools to be able to track the books read by their students. They have a reading program where each student in each classroom tracks the books they read each week. For every hundred books they read each student gets a small prize. Here is what I would like to see:
I want site with a Master Admin section. This section would allow me to setup and manage schools. (This will allow other local schools to use it if they would like). Only I or any account I set up as a super admin should be able to login and manage this section.
I want a school admin section. This would be for anyone deemed an admin within a school or set of schools. They would manage the setup of each classroom and the respective details that would go along with it. The only people that can access this would be the super admins and anyone setup as a school admin. People set up as an admin given schools should be able to setup other school admins for the same schools, should they deem it necessary.
I want a classroom admin section. This would be for those identified as teachers of a classroom to manage their students and the details specific to their classroom. Any super admin, school admin for the given school or classroom admin for the given classroom within the given school should be able to manage this section.
I want each student to be issued a login so that they and/or their parents can log in and register which books they read.
I want the teacher to be able to choose if parents can see all other students in the classroom and their book counts. I want the teacher to be able to either turn this on or turn it off thereby only allowing parents to see the "average" count of books read by other students in their classroom.
I want the school admins to be able to turn on or turn off a classroom total page that allows parents and teachers to be able to see how each classroom is doing against each other.
I want the school admins to be able to turn on or off a flag that would show how they are doing against the average read by other schools.
Of course there are much finer details than this that relate to each point however this is the key bit. Each layer outlined above requires a login with permissions. The only thing that would not require permissions would be the landing site that outlines what the site is about as well as the ability to request registration by the school and then of course access to the login page.
I will provide much more detail if you think you can do this project to whomever I award it. I have a logo designed for the site with the desired color palette. I am very open and flexible on the design of the layout however I am a VERY big proponent of clean and simple sites. I don't like clutter or poor design. It must look fresh.
