I started a small tutoring service. I am looking for an virtual office manager so I can focus on teaching.
I am looking to have around 4-5 people to try out for the 1st 2 weeks and then will choose the best performer for the long term (1 year - 2 years) .
The office manager wears many different hats. On any given day, he or she may be mediating battling co-workers, calming upset clients or reviewing the latest budget.
Successful managers are able to effectively communicate goals and expectations to their teams. Additionally, they must be able to address poorly performing employees in a fair and confident manner.
Other tasks include:
General HR: composing a job description, posting a job opening, pre-screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and on-boarding a new hire.
Client Management: answering all emails, make sure all team members understand their clients' needs, make sure the director gets a detailed report at the end of everyday.
Organizing team and marketing events: team lunch, open office, and so on.
Executive assistance: calendaring meeting and business trips.
A truly competent office manager deserves the title of Jack-of-all-trades.
