good Django know-how
A simple, existing web application grabs data from a MySQL DB and displays it using a django template.
The environment is Ubuntu 12.04, nginx, Django 1.5, python 2.7.
The application is a prototyp, so not very production like. It is running in the development environment, but for some reason the datetimewidget is not found by python on the production machine.
So task number 1 would be: fix the import thing.
>> import datetimewidget
does not result in a error module not found error
Further task will be to add simple stuff to this application, respectively help the developer fix further problems, as it should be a kind of know-how transfer
- if there are other problems stopping nginx serve pages, fix these as well
- Make django display the proper error page when entering wrong
- add login and session control, with authenticated user accessing a different page(s)
- add a sms/text message service
We think their is no expert knowhow required.
Besides the datetimewidget nothing else but python/django is installed.
Ubuntu is installed as a server, very standard. But you should have done a few projects with django on Ubuntu.
To fix the import problem, and to see how quick/good the programmer is, we think a fixed amount of 10 dollar as a start. Further tasks will be hourly based.
