I have been using vistaprint for the last year and a half. It's obviously for beginners, which is why I selected the service. I have not been happy for most of the time I've been with them, but can't find another that I'm happy enough to switch to. My biggest hurdle is web design. I don't neccesarily want a "template plugged in" look, but I really don't want anything too extravagant, either. I own an operate a skin care company, my husband and I make all of our products ourselves, and we are up and coming...growing in popularity. I don't want to lose a personal feel in the overall design, but don't want to appear unapproachable and too corporate either. I like the look of dark, or even a faded black banner at the header, with all white, clean look throughout, with attractive finished product and raw material imaging. I like the Lush cosmetics website, sephora..things like that. But also pulling in some "softer" effects (golden?). maybe not so black and white.
I need ecommerce with great options; drop downs, coupon codes, inventory records, client database. I currently have a trial with Bigcommerce; not sure if I will stay with their hosting. I need a hosting company that will optimize SEO, because right now I'm virtually invisible in the online world unless I drive traffic to my site or etsy page from FB.
I realize my budget is small, and it may be completely unfeasible for me to find a contractor to work at this price. However, being a small company, we have very little money. It doesn't hurt to try and see what's available out there.
my current website is rbnheals.com if you would like to check out my company, products and general feel for my style. I'm in the process of trying to find a photographer to obtain better shots of my products, as well as filler shots for marketing and design.
