We have an intranet project created with the base MVC template from Visual Studio 2013. The application will connect to a PostgreSQL database for mainly reading tables. We added the connectionstring to web.config and was able to connect using the standard connector in the HomeController.
However, when we try to switch it over to Entity Framework, we are getting errors such as:
"Additional information: Failed to set Database.DefaultConnectionFactory to an instance of the 'Npgsql.NpgsqlFactory, Npgsql' type as specified in the application configuration. See inner exception for details."
We just want someone to help us get this Entity framework working with Npgsql so we can continue building the model part of the application. We already created "PortalEntites.cs" (DbContext) and "EnforcementMetrics.cs" model to attempt to use the EF with zero luck.
You can get the solution from here:
The candidate should be able to fix this solution to the point we can continue with the project.
