I am making a short film for a local film festival, and have a budget set aside for it. It's a 5 minute animation. The script is finished, and the temp track is just about there.

I have a couple of references for the animation style I would like. Being new to animation, I don't have a preference with tools, just style.

The story is about a farmer that struggles to become a success. It's a message of grace, as he helps someone out in the end when it was very hard for him.

Thoughts on style:

Justin Time Show

That's pretty high budget animation, but I like the shaded 2d style there.

Watercolor background:

Pretty slick :)

This one is just gorgeous:

Here comes more....silhouette
That might not be possible with my film, but it's a thought

This Marionette style is also incredibly beautiful, though I could loose the strings and be quite happy: http://vimeo.com/39825030

So, do any of those styles inspire you?

I will post the script and music to the folks that seem the best fit for the project. Thanks so much for considering.
