Due to recent growth, we are looking to hire additional talent to join the team.

In the role of B2B social media marketing coordinator, you will be conducting research each day so as to post on behalf of many different clients, mostly Twitter and Facebook.  These clients are B2B and therefore not like your typical consumer goods vendors.

You will need impeccable English skills, attention to detail, commercial awareness, the ability to find interesting and relevant details and be able to communicate them via the message length limitations of Twitter and Facebook.

If English is not your first language, then you will need to have scored well on the English Spelling Test (UK Version) plus UK English Grammar Test (For Writing Professionals) or UK English Proofreading Skills Test (Oxford Guide to Style) tests on oDesk in order to be considered.  Exceptions include those with an advanced degree from a UK university or those with 2+ years social media coordinator/marketer/manager experience for a UK firm.

Whether the client provides accountancy services, freight shipping, renewable energy hardware, infrared surveying, electronics manufacturing, fire safety, or other products and services, you will be expected to find interesting and relevant news stories from within the past few hours and craft messages encouraging audiences to click and learn more.

Because clients expect their posts to go out (or at least by scheduled) by 10am UK time daily (Monday through Friday), you will need to complete the 2 or so hours per day (5 days per week) required between 7pm and 5am (UK TIME), which could conveniently be in the afternoon, evening or early morning in your time zone.  After several weeks of initial research, you will then move on to posting directly onto Twitter and Facebook.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter - one who will look, think, look and then ask, proactively asking questions and seeking answers.  They will also be very responsive to emails and Skype from our organisation.

The assignments for this position can be completed in as little as 1.5 hours per day, if that fits your needs, though some people may need 2 to 3 hours each day.  For the right person, additional work can be made available, extending the daily hours considerably.
