$100 just for reviewing existing drawings in PDF format or sketchup (not cad). No new drawings needed. Fixed price negotiable depending on level of experience.
We'll be shooting an in-ground, in-door gunite pool at the end of next month and need a structural engineer with experience to examine my drawings, calculate your own load limits to determine your own rebar/concrete sizing to see if I'm under or over doing anything. This is the 3rd in-ground pool I've built but the other two were poured in place, not shot and has and has one wall extended to the ceiling. The pool also has a knife edge over flow aspect.
Excavation has already been completed, as well has 6" of compacted crushed limestone base. All site, location, and soil info will be provided to you. There is no code requirements or permits needed. The job includes reviewing data and drawings provided and making any corrections needed. If anything, I may be overdoing some elements as far as strength requirements, which will equate to higher than necessary costs for material and labor. I tend to do that. (Please write the word "Green" in your response to the job opening, so that I know you've read everything and know what you're applying for.) So if you see anything that is designed above and beyond what's needed, please let me know.
Applicants must have and be able to provide proof of a degree in structural, civil or geotechnical engineering in order to be able to make their own calculations, as well as familiarity with gunite application/load limits. Actual pool experience is a plus.
The pool measures:
Outer dimensions: 12' 1 1/2" x 37' 6 19/32"
Depth: 10' 2 7/8" (deep end), 2' 9 11/16" (shallow end), 5' 9 29/64" (drop off)
Thank you, I look forward to working with you.
