Skilled translator

Denmark - Tests: 4 - Portfolio: 3

Profile description: Top strengths: 1. International understanding. 2. 3 languages: English, German and Danish. 3. The ability to plan and organize. 4. Seeing simple and effective solutions. My name is Jesper Skov – a Dane with a flair for marketing, language and culture. I have a BA in English communication and marketing, and love my daily interaction with both language and culture. I have worked in different sectors trough out the years, which all had something to do with either language or communication. I have worked at firms selling everything from power tools, safety equipment to website development. Translating from English to Danish is one of my strongest assets, and I have been doing so for almost 5 years now. Most of the work has been technical translation, which gave me the tools to learn about a new product or field fairly quickly, to ensure correct translation. During the day I work at an marketing agency, helping clients increase their sales and get there message out. We create Social Media Campaigns, Webpages and write campaign texts. In addition to my marketing work, I work as a teacher for the elderly twice a week, to ensure a seamless transaction from the analogue world into the digital. When I'm not teaching I volunteer as as a computer expert at the local elderly center, helping the elderly with everything from writing an email to their loved ones, to fixing virus infected computers. I know the importance of deadlines and high-quality work, and when I say yes to help with a task I dedicate time and energy to complete it perfectly. Additional information: In 2013 I lived in Tokyo, Japan for half a year to study the Japanese culture, and I was amazed when I saw how things could be done completely different than the Danes would have done it. This experience thought me to see solutions and answers in almost everything. It was an amazing experience.

Andriy Kucher

Andriy Kucher Agency Contractor

Art Director

Ukraine - Tests: 3 - Portfolio: 80

I born in the widest Europian village — Kosmach. It had some manufactures earlier, like weaving, quarry, oil production. Nowadays the main craft here is traditional handmade while contemporary cultural activity is absent. My answer is to gather separate social units (people commonly) into one mighty system with tools of architectural environment. One of my first architectural projects was built before I graduate the university. The client was my grandfather, the builder. That object is the church in my native village. I can see it from a window of my family house, the construction of which I was involved in adolescence. When a bell rings, I often read my personal bible: “A Pattern Language” by Christopher Alexander. I believe you did hear of the Christopher Alexander's "The Pattern Language". One of its patterns sais that building should accomplish the task of site renovation. In other words, it should be built on a rudimentary area. In ideal. This thought turned me into a mindset of a so-called "flows" — the water streams of Carpathian mountains. Usually, locals use them for handy trash containing. But their real potential is to become the main connections inside a community. The river. If you'd stand on the road, you wouldn't attend to the fact that it is a branch of a bigger road. And possibly, it has a smaller branches. Unless you go further and find those branches. Oher case is the river. It literally calls for following its flow. And you know exactly there is a larger river even when you stay still. I have a range of projects in my portfolio: from product design to architectural complexes. But my greatest skill at the moment is the residential houses design. I have done a number of architectural models for United Renderworks company. Designed homes on challenging properties in Canada. Recreated building models with limited information all around the world. Developed personal projects on main issues of the day. The photovoltaic is my separate branch of my main expertise. I like the feeling of continuous practice and being nature-friendly. I provided presentations for solar companies in Minnesota, Hawaii, California and more. Nowadays these layouts go on thousand.
