Financial Analyst, Marketer, and Journalist
This year I have been working as an analyst, marketer, and white paper writer for WST, a leading quantitative asset manager in Norfolk, VA.
I have a lifetime 4.9 star rating here on Upwork/Elance. This is in the top 2% for customer satisfaction. The other rating is based on the dozens of clients I had that left NO feedback, a nearly irrelevant metric.
In Nov., 2015, I have been engaged in investment analysis and marketing for Zacks Investment Research in Chicago.

• I co-authored a course for the Univ. of California Berkeley Economics Department called "Investments."
• I co-authored the educational portion of the of the Charles Schwab website, authoring the courses "Asset Allocation" and "Selecting a Mutual Fund."
This year I have also been working as a Web Strategist, Marketing Analyst, and Copywriter for futuresknowledge.com in Edmonton, Alberta. I have written about 20 of the articles on this site.
So far this year, I have also been working as a Web Strategist and writer for Cliquevest, a company that allows investment clubs, asset management firms, and groups of friends to share their portfolios and investment ideas on mobile devices. Site: cliquevest.com, most of which I wrote.
I've also been performing similar duties for Cliquevest's parent, Investars, well known as the company employed by Eliot Spitzer when he adduced the evidence of corruption in the money center banks. I worked on website revision, investment analysis, and marketing.
Last autumn, I completed a 17 page book about Peer-to-Peer lending. I wrote this book for a company in New Zealand that is planning to be the first firm in that nation to lend and borrow in this manner. I have attached this book in the file named "Mike.ABeginners..."
Also last autumn, I wrote a substantial investment research on various opportunities in frontier markets for Capricorn Investment Research Group in Portland, OR.
In September, I wrote an article about the October correction in the U.S. equities markets for Filiere3E, an investment publisher in Paris, France.
Starting in March and April of last year I have been authoring the website for an early stage technology fund called Fruition TechFund, writing an executive summary for a Private Equity fund in Bermuda, and writing the website and brochure for a hedge fund in Boston called Boston Energy Group.
I was also a top staff writer at what is now ETF.com, arguably the number one source for information on Indexing and ETFs.
I studied Economics at the University of Chicago. My formal education in Finance, Economics, and global markets continued at the Chicago Board of Trade Institute of Finance, where I completed three years of study, completing 10 courses, among them “Financial Futures,” Finance,” and “Advanced Options.”

• In 2002 and 2003, I worked as an analyst and writer for the investment research firm Enders Analysis in Dundee, U.K. This firm is quite well known in Europe and subscribers pay thousands of euros per year for our newsletters.
• Before my ventures into the markets, I taught foreign languages for four years at Brown University and Phillips Academy, Andover; I also lectured in European history at Brown. I am currently almost all but dissertation for my PhD. in foreign languages at Brown.
