Seasoned IT Professional / Development / Security / Project Management
I have extensive full life cycle IT product development and management experience across multiple problem domains. These include mathematical optimization of NP Complete problems, artificial intelligence, enterprise data integration, training system integration and management, medical records management, inventory management, R&D programming, and others. This experience has crossed multiple development environments including private sector, university research, and various DoD customers. The team I pioneered, recruited and then led at NAVAIR during the six year period ending in 2010 made 30+ major software deliveries on time, within budget, and contained 100% of the customer’s requirements, a feat not equaled before or since by any NAVAIR vendor and resulted in multiple follow up delivery orders which contributed significantly to the company’s bottom line.
In today’s IT environment senior leadership must have a strong security background. I am an active CISSP and have developed, maintained, and managed private and government IT security initiatives, including DoD DIACAP and civilian SOX and FISMA compliance efforts; as a Principal Systems Engineer for Army National Guard SIPRNET NOC security was a significant function. This included DIACAP for applications and the network infrastructure, application and response to IAVMs and STIGs, as well as Level III support of the Enterprise networks, servers, and workstations in an enterprise network that spanned the National Capitol Region as well as the 54 states and territories.
My hardware experience covers a broad range of hardware from small single card embedded systems and embedded device controllers to large scientific parallel computing environments (Beowulf and Nvidia CUDA GPU) and enterprise virtual server clouds. I also have system administrative experience with network infrastructure including CISCO managed switches, routers, firewalls, as well as Windows and Linux based servers and workstations.
