Last active: 26 days ago
I have a degree in Education, Major Cultural Development and besides i'm a software developer since 2010.
I'm currently working at the National Centre for Development and Research in Free Technologies Foundation CENDITEL, and have been leading several projects, previously worked in the Department of Tele-Informatics State Government; both public institutions.
My experience in education has helped me focus my work in the area of software development, thinking first of the user experience and how they can influence or direct their behavior during interaction with the application, directing my efforts to provide a comfortable user experience, without delays in loading applications providing an adecuate system architecture besides a correct deployment for making high-performance environments.
During my carreer as a software developer i've worked with implementations of "Drupal", "WordPress", "Chamilo LMS", "Joomla", "WikiMedia", "Diaspora" (Ruby / Ruby On Rails), "Pinax" (Python / Django) mail applications "SquirrelMail" and "RoundCube", and regarding to databases i work almost dayli with "MySQL", "PostgreSQL" and "SQLite" and eventually base addition georeferenced data "PostGIS".
I'm a "GNU / Linux" server administrator and have experience with "Debian", "Ubuntu Server" and "CentOS" systems; i've made implementations of "APC", "MemCached" and "Microcache" with "Nginx" server, and also implemented mail servers such as "Postfix", "Dovecot", "Cyrus", "Sendmail", "Courier", "Exim", with antivirus and antispam "Clamav" and "SpamAssassin";
As part of my duties in the context of linux systems administrator i have developed "Bash Scripts" for data mining operations, compilation of records, creating plain text files in "csv" and "tsv" formats, using management tools for long texts compilations (line by line), like "sed" and "awk" among other scripts in "perl".
I use graphic and vector design tools often, and have worked with system icons, templates, banners, logos and fonts, as "Gimp", "Inkscape".
I've always preferred to work with free software tools and GNU / Linux systems, although I do not limit the possibility to learn and improve my performance as a software developer and linux system/server administrator.
