I remember very distinctly being the first kid in my kindergarten class able to read through an entire book without assistance. Words I understood and I could get lost in them, build alternate worlds with my imagination, and roam them all day. I grew up loving language. I then went on to complete an AmeriCorps service year, working with a local non-profit to alleviate poverty in my community. In this position, I became familiar with non-profit operations, grant writing, and administration management. After my service year ended, I was promoted to a full-time position as the acting Director of Administration at age 24. I’m currently working as a product development specialist, copywriter, and novelist.
