Being mentally versatile allows me to learn quickly, adapt quickly, and deliver what you need when you need it. Whether it's graphic design or book illustration, copyediting or written translating in 30 different languages (as of this moment), advice or advice columns, there's very little that I cannot accommodate to acceptable standards -- but if I can't do it, I'll be up front just the same. I have experience in multiple cultures and nationalities, friends of all walks and faiths in life, and I don't like a certain type of food or dish... they haven't invented it yet. Let's talk about what you need, boss, and see if we can get started today!

I have spent most of my career in design, art production and art. Some notions about the art field are true, like the fact that you need to be detail oriented and have computer skills. I've worked for a group of newspapers for over 3 1/2 years and before that about seven years I have worked a company that produce products for the military. I have dealt directly with customers not only with designs but also taking orders and estimating the cost and time to complete them. A big part of creating for other people is to understanding what they want. Important skills I possess are customer service and good communication. A basic step is convincing the person that you comprehend what they convey to you and that your company can do it without complications. The ability to clearly communicate ideas back and forth is also an attribute I possess. Between this and past jobs I have dealt with preparing art for all types of print. I have helped produce items such as: labels, stickers, books, comic books, patches, hats, banners, buttons, flags, forms, coins and more. I've also been a political cartoonist and a self published comic book artist with a comic book distributed nationwide. Elsewhere, my comic book, was based off of a comic strip that I did in college and printed in multiple college papers. I did everything on it. I wrote it, drew it, set it up for print, hired the printer, did the press check, sent book out to distributors and went to comic shows to promote it. Though I'm not presently active with a comic book, I continue to go to related conventions and keep up with that field and related market. So what does this mean to you? You are looking at someone who is use to dealing with customers, estimating time and cost, finding printers and preparing work for them. I'm use to deadlines and keeping them. I'm a person with advance skills in drawing and design. Computer skills and the ability to learn new programs are definitely present. I have been in a stable position for a long period of time. I'm a person with the drive to do things and the skills to get things done. You can find out more about my experience in detail by looking at my resume'. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Joseph A. Krejci 5th

Civil Engineer. Graphic Designer/Illustrator. Tutor. Translator.

    Philippines - Last active: 16 days ago - Tests: 1 - Portfolio: 6

I am maybe new here in odesk but I already have experiences outside. I am a part-time Graphic Designer while I am studying with the course of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Saint Louis University and will be graduating this year 2015. I am really skilled in using the Adobe Photoshop which turned me into a graphic designer for about a year now. In my highschool years, I was a cartoonist for our school newspaper and this honed my skills in drawing. Thus, great quality output will be going to be delivered for my clients. I am focusing in designing right now rather than in engineering field because I think I am not yet that skilled in Civil Engineering and need to have more experiences in this course. My creative and designing skills are greater than my engineering skills. But I wanted to become an engineer someday and incorpporate my designing skills in it. With this line of work, I am patient, hardworking, passionate and approachable. Satisfaction is my priority. Services Offered: In order to make the best output, the following are my main services offered which I think my skills and abilities can make the best out of it. Design. T-shirts Logo Brochure Business Card Invitation Poster Comics Cartoon Characters Book Covers Tutorials Mathematics Physics Engineering Subjects (Mechanics, Hydraulics, etc) AutoCAD Drawing Structural Plans Architectural PLans
