With my 2 years’ experience as a live chat representative it’s important to be brief and professional with your responses since you cannot put emotions on what you’re telling to the customers. The usage of empathy statements and “please” and avoiding repetitive response is very helpful. Personalizing your response is also important to avoid the thought of the customers that they’re only chatting with an automated system or a computer.
