Relatively Quick Learning Skills - Accomplished tasks assigned with little or no supervision with research into techniques needed, self tutoring, regular visit to forums and professional assistance
I was in-charge and instrumental in the production of Lagos State Street maps by taking time outside of office hours to check the accuracy of every data already in the database to ascertain if it conforms to what is on ground through field work.
A WebGIS server (Called LAGIS) with various spatial dataset such as Elevation, Land Cover, Land Use, Drainage, Land Ownership, Parcel identification, road restriction, speed limit, Postcodes and electronic certificate of Occupancy of the Lagos State region which is established by and for the Lagos State Government.
I also created and supervised the geocoding of the Lagos street map, established a 15 man team supervised by me to develop a navigation map for Garmin Nuvi devices to be used by drivers within Lagos State. This was achieved by rigorous field enumeration (using Trimble Juno mobile device) to acquire relevant information such as road speed limit, roundabouts, road restrictions, parcel use, name and address, postcode and town names. With the use of GIS software, Mapping packages and network design software such as ArcMap10.0, Gpsmapper, Cgpsmapper v100, Mapset tool, Notepad, Arcpad 8.0 to process and customize, the navigation map was created and tested even by the Governor and Commissioners of Lagos State.
Training of staff and various client in the use of surveying and ad hoc GIS packages
