Thank you for taking an interest in my profile. I graduated law school in 2008 with a goal of becoming a civil litigator, possibly in family law, although I was very interested in criminal and immigration laws, too. I was willing to enter any legal discipline when I experienced a near fatal stroke that left me unable to walk or speak clearly. None of my memories or cognition were compromised. I am able to do anything online, but I cannot speak clearly over the telephone. If an employer prefers to speak with me over the phone I can talk, but regular phone contact with clients is not possible. I am willing to work through the night if you require a fast turnaround time, but ordinarily I require about three days depending on the complexity of the issue. Working at home is easiest for me because I cannot drive or do many of the other things that are required to work outside of the home. I have recently decided I have not just lost everything; I have a great education and mind and I owe it to myself to use it. Just because I cannot pace back and forth giving a closing statement does not mean I should do nothing. My dreams are less grand than they were before, I want to be proud of my work and I want my employers to be satisfied. I will work as hard as I can because I want to begin working as soon as possible and cultivate long term relationships where possible with employers. I have unrivaled honesty and integrity; I am very proud of those qualities so I will never submit work that I am not proud to call my own.

I have worked primarily as an assistant for over eight years, most of those years as a legal assistant, and I would love the opportunity to provide my outstanding skills and services to companies on a virtual platform. I have an abundance of experience creating Word documents, PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets. I have spent countless hours answering telephones, sending and responding to emails, overseeing schedules, contacting clients, managing extensive files, researching a multitude of topics, creating documents, and tending to the daily professional responsibilities of those I have worked for. My multitasking and time management skills are matched by no other. I am extremely conscious of deadlines. I am a team player but can also work well independently with little instruction. I know how to form excellent relationships with clients and take joy in knowing that clients can always count on me to be there when they need assistance. I am exceptionally organized and extremely detail-oriented. I can master any and all tasks given to me. I have superb communication skills and am fluent in both spoken and written English. I am honest, trustworthy and reliable. I understand the importance of time sensitive material and will handle all confidential information with the utmost integrity. My skills and experience would be nothing but an asset to a company. I look forward to being able to prove that!
