Over the last 15 years I have continued to develop my career, skillset, knowledge and experience. The last couple of years, upwork has introduced me to a great number of great people and projects. Two of these projects will be briefly outlined below. The first was designing and implementing a 4 million hits / day infrastructure to handle advertising banners. This client had a business requirement to greatly extend the reach of the live infrastructure. This project was completed in PHP / MySQL and is currently hosted on a cloud platform. This project scales automatically as required to handle any variation in the daily load. The final project was a hospital scheduling task. This client worked for a hospital and had over 30 different scheduling rules for every time-slot. The client used to do this manually and it took hours every week. I came up with a VBA based solution that would automate this task. On completion, the task took about 20 seconds to execute and correctly assigned all time-slots to the correct hospital resources. I would like to continue to be exposed to new and different challenges, that will further develop my skills and career. I also really enjoy making new contacts on the upwork network.
