Essayist, Illustrator, English Tutor, Production Manager
Hi, thanks for dropping by!
I've worked as a freelance writer for over 2 years at WorkSmartr and Writers.ph doing university and masters-level academic papers and 600-word articles on the useful, weird, and mundane. I have extensive experience in summarizing articles, generating quiz-type, multiple-choice format, and/or discussion questionnaires to facilitate English reading comprehension and insight formation, prepare lesson plans, and correct academic essays for about half a year during my time as an English tutor.
My stints in film and media production in the past year has also furthered my training in technical and creative writing for news publications and corporate campaigns, transcription and subtitling, action-planning, event management, social perceptiveness and relationship management, problem sensitivity and the ability to ancitipate what needs to be done.
In the media industry, we wear many hats and are expected to deliver only our best work at all times even while, and especially under, extreme pressure and time constraints (so you know I am completely fine with ridiculously long hours and working with what many would consider "difficult" people). This made me appreciate a challenging working environment that foster growth and camaraderie.
I have found that I thrive among people who are passionate about art, design, and philosophy, more so when our interests and collective effort bear fruit through the creation of products and services that inspire critical and innovative thinking, improve or reshape the way we go about our daily lives at work and at home, make us better understand how we as human beings connect with each other, as well as sustain the engine power to spark important conversations, hopefully to the benefit of the unprivileged.
On my off days, I take German, Spanish, and Japanese lessons. That is if I'm not on my HTML/CSS, JS, JQuery classes. Or trying not to die while raiding Dragon Priest dungeons with a 100 cap on Health and Stamina on vanilla Skyrim. And failing, naturally, but hey, isn't total world immersion the dream?! I also draw pretty wicked bust portraits and enjoy the works of Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt.
I would be thrilled to be given the chance to prove myself a valuable asset to the success of your company and grow with you!
Best regards. :)
