Expert PHP Developer

Croatia - Tests: 3 - Portfolio: 7

I've been a web developer for about 13 years. I know HTML, CSS, JS/JQuery, PHP and MySQL fluently. Communicating with me in English won't be hard either, as I have years of Teamspeak experience. When I'm creating something, I always focus on speed and security. I learnt everything I know with experimenting and checking language reference when I got unexpected results. For me, it all started in 2002. when I was about 10 years old, when I started experimenting with HTML (until then, I was using QBasic as my experimenting platform). Soon, I realized, that in order to create something a bit more dynamic, I'll have to use languages like PHP and Javascript. Then, I realized that in order to serve meaningful content that persists through different visitors, I'll have to store it somewhere. The obvious choice was MySQL. Furthermore, in the summer of 2006, I got into building web templates, which is when I've mastered CSS. In the more recent years, I've really got into networking. I've done a lot of research regarding Wireless Fidelity security, and was able to break a lot of networks I previously set up(for academic purposes), and not just WEP, which is trivial nowadays, but also WPA/WPA2, exploiting vulnerabilities in weak passwords (offline brute force approach upon EAPOL capture) with Aircrack-ng suite, exploiting usage of PIN as part of the WPS authentication mechanism, due to its easily exhausted resource of PINs with Reaver, etc. Furthermore, I've successfully managed to execute ARP attacks to completely intercept traffic coming from, and going from other machines in the same local network, of non HTTPS sites (what Firesheep did couple of years back) with Cain & Able (Win tool) and arpspoof (Unix command line version). I've used sslstrip in the past to execute what is known as a "downgrade attack", but this is no longer feasible as sites implement HSTS nowadays, which basically means that you can no longer circumvent TLS/SSL, and just proceed to plain HTTP. Due to aforementioned, I held a demonstration of data interception inside local network at my university. I also held a demonstration of phishing on the web, for which I also created a small slideshow presentation, which can be seen here: Another, very important part of my career was the time I worked for an owner of multiple companies in Europe (you can see some of my work for him in my portfolio), which I did for about 3 years (not full time, but contractor style), and that is when I truly learnt the power of details. I've never experienced that level of obsession with details before, and even though at the start, I didn't really like changing same parts of the site a bunch of times, I completely adopted the style for all my future work. The most popular open source tool I've ever created is called Recruiting Parser, released in July of 2007, which is an open source PHP BBCode parser that used to be pretty popular back in the day, but I stopped its development, and it has been superseded. I joined this site on April 2015, and since then I've used some technologies I haven't used before. For instance: PhoneGap - an amazing tool which makes it possible for people like me, the web developers, to build native Android, iOS and Windows Phone apps, using HTML, CSS and Javascript Dropbox API - storing data in the cloud via its HTTP API Couch CMS - really simple opensource CMS Opencart - rich opensource eCommerce CMS Mailchimp - email API, which drastically reduces the chance of message getting flagged as spam, therefore increasing the chance of message getting delivered PHPUnit - automated PHP testing suite Apart from using technologies I haven't had the chance to use before I started working on Upwork, I also wrote reviews and participated in beta phases of projects. I've written two documents regarding the tests I've conducted: EasyData review: Lootpost beta review: Recently, I've been experimenting with Android video feeds, release candidates of PHP7 and MEAN stack. Feel free to contact me for any additional questions.
