I have been building web applications for over 7 years now. I have a deep background in fundamental PHP5 (with MVC architecture), MySQL, HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery. I am currently focused on Laravel and Wordpress web application work, including building plugins and creating responsive design sites. My previous expertise includes Codeigniter, Yii framework, AJAX, PL/SQL, Oracle DB and Java. Even though I have no proven track record in developing Zend 2 - and Kohana-based sites, I am ready to deal with such projects as well. Regardless of the programming, I am passionate about providing first class results and excellent service. I love presenting the solution I feel is best for my clients and work with them to get them what they need. I am looking for interesting full-time, and ideally long-term projects to keep busy.

    Software developer

I like writing programs which make life easier. Given a lot of similar files or a few gigabytes of data, to write a little Perl script to parse them all in seconds is a kind of task I really enjoy doing. While being my favorite programming language, Perl is, of course, not the only one I know. Just like any person pretending to be a good software engineer I can (and like to) write in C, and I used to write some code in C++ (need to say here that I don't like the style of coding when the whole program consists of definitions of various small classes and overloading various methods). I understand and like functional programming (e.g. Lisp and Haskell), and I like using map, reduce and filter concepts in other languages. I'm not a web programmer, that means that I won't apply for any PHP job or, in general, for a job requiring to create web sites. But I used to develop simple web services (Perl CGI scripts, small sites in PHP) and I understand how HTTP works. That means that I can act both as a web browser using telnet and as a web server using netcat and I don't panic when I see Internal Server Error. The last web-related thing I looked at was Node.js; I liked the idea and wrote a few hundred lines of code to see how it works. Just to list some more technologies: I used to create TCP/IP client and server programs in C and Perl both in Linux and Windows; I spent a few evenings developing a compiler and virtual machine for myself just to understand how all this stuff works; I know how to work with databases (just to list some: MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite), SQL queries, and stored procedures. I was a member of the ACM team of Novosibirsk university (our best result was to reach world semi-finals) and I spent nine years teaching students how to write programs so I understand most of the 'standard' algorithms: searching and sorting, graphs problems, etc., and can explain them if needed.
