    I am well versed in many open source technologies. I prefer to use ruby and javascript when they are a good fit, but am always up for finding better tools for the job. In my day jobs, I generally work on rails or javascript projects with a mobile-first approach. Lately I have been using rails more for backend tasks and using AngularJS for the frontend. I have more than a decade of *nix (linux mostly but even bsd and a little solaris) experience and I have been a regular daily user of ubuntu for the past 8 years so system administration with ubuntu is another strength of mine. I also set up mobile friendly websites of varying complexity and handle all hosting, both static and dynamic and with and without cms systems. I have worked extensively with locomotivecms and can also deploy the locomotive engine if you are looking to host your own cms site. Some other work I have done on odesk included shopify programming and using the shopify api as well as several months specializing in RETS (Real estate transaction standard).
