Small business consultant, accountant.
With over 30 years working for small businesses in the capacity of Controller, Accountant, Office Manager and Bookkeeper I have acquired quite a bit of real world experience and professionalism. I have experience in G/L, A/R, A/P Multi-state payroll, benefits administration (including flexible benefits plans) and multiple state sales tax experience. I am familiar with many apps, Corel suite, Mas90, Quickbooks, Quickbooks online, Freshbooks Certified, Excel, quick learner, super sharp. I obtained my Certified Management Accountant status in 1996 and maintained my certificate until just recently. I served on the Institute of Management Accountant's National Small Business Committee for several years. I have managed my own business for 19 years, I have excellent customer service skills, am organized and what I don't know, I'll find out. While I love accounting, I rounded out my education and completed a masters in business administration and did my 4 yr degree work in human relations and organizational behavior. I have worked with 2 501(c)3 organizations, one of which did not have it's status and needed to file multiple years of back taxes, which i did, getting abatement of all interest and penalty. I have established and run 125 programs for small employers, saving on payroll taxes and affording employees better health care for their dollar. Employed for 24 years by a closely held company, I work well with others, having the wisdom and maturity to handle situations appropriately in many challenging circumstances.
