Social Media Manager
Over the last year as project manager/social media manager for non-profits and for-profit organizations, my main objectives have been to increase visibility and outreach of these companies, create continuity in branding, create meaningful and interactive connections and quality networks, and focus on understanding the specific business cultures of each company, to optimize effectiveness in these social comm. spaces.
With main objectives in mind, I can't resist the opportunity to wear many hats. A "jack-of-all-trades" attitude has given me the drive to learn hands-on in the start-up realm, namely in my work in online community building and marketing for an entrepreneur and VC network based out of Silicon Valley. Joining in its second year, I had the task of researching and connecting with its very specific, powerful and professional niche of women in business, enabling me to understand the efficacy of various online communications tools as well as analytic and organizational tools for traction. I have also had the opportunity to work on the marketing and event management side of these companies, and my work experience ranges from for-profit, membership sales and social media community management for a women's business network to non-profit, grassroots organization just taking off and launching fundraisers for unique programs abroad in Uganda, to working in communications and development for a large, SF arts non-profit in its 5th year of operations, helping them launch massive sound art events with local and international artists for a 3 month festival.
