    I would like to work on projects such as Japanese-English translation, writing critiques/reviews of films with illustration, and art projects that allow me to express myself. I have NO previous experiences in translation and it is because I have never been given the opportunity before. I believe the problem with translation industry is that you always need to submit your previous works and prove how many projects you have done. If you are never given a chance, you cannot prove to the world what you are capable of. I was born in Japan and raised in Japan, but I chose to go to the US and Australia in highschool so I struggled through cultural experiences and became a bilingual. I have always put myself in customer service jobs because I truly enjoy face to face communication. I have been a server, a receptionist, and an English instructor. One of the aspects that fascinates me and motivates me is finding out needs and demands of the customers/clients and providing them services that exceed their expectation. Although I have thoroughly enjoyed my prevoius work experiences, I would like to keep challenging myself in new fields. I would like to start working online as a translator and an English tutor. I am very responsible and hard working. My weakness is that I sometimes push myself too hard and sacrifice hours to reach for perfection and to get my own satisfaction. I am willing to learn. I look forward to working with other highly skilled and talented individuals.
