My experience in the software and infrastructure development environment spans over 30 years and I have always worked in hands on environments, where I have been involved in the planning, design and implementation of information technology projects. I have also worked on large scale projects deploying to multiple end points around the world, as well as smaller projects that benefit internal teams.
I have developed applications for the iPhone for the past 5 years and my experience includes, communications to a web server querying MySQL databases through PHP and returning XML format. I have developed multimedia apps that include reading and playing from your music library. I have created GPS apps that utilize IOS tracking and displaying map images based on location real time. My applications also include Apple’s Push Notification with real time update and status pushes both when the application is active or in the background as well as image based applications where images are taken, stored on a server and retrieved.
I have several clients who’s websites I build/maintain and enhance using GoDaddy Ubuntu Servers, PHP, MySQL, Apache, Wordpress and Flash.
I am thought of as a team player who is well liked by his peers and thinks outside of the box, working to develop solutions that not only solve the current problem but also address the long term expandability and integration with other solutions. I am often the person that my colleagues go to first when seeking technical advice as well as personal objectives.
While continuing to keep myself well educated in new technologies, I also investigate various strategies that tie the old with the new.
My specific technical skills include: expert programmer in Objective C, C++, C, Java, HTML, PHP and mySQL, I have experience in Perl, REX, UNIX Script, FORTRAN, Cobol, Basic and MS Office Macro programming. I am well versed in load balancing, and failover strategies that lead towards scalable solutions.
I have built host and client applications in multiple environments including Mac OSx, IOS, Windows, OS/2, and Unix.
