Mechanical Engineer, Data Analyst, Urban Planner
I am a mechanical engineer and recent graduate from the SFU Master of Urban Studies program with 7 years combined experience in project coordination, planning, public transportation, piping system design, equipment maintenance. I have proven critical thinking, organizational and project management skills.
I have lived and worked in Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. I have extensive experience travelling worldwide which spans over 3 continents, including over 24 countries and 86 cities.
As a recent graduate of the SFU Urban Studies Masters program, I am knowledgeable in quantitative and qualitative research methods analyzing census statistics, land use, zoning, transportation and strategic plans and policies. My thesis analyzed the Washington D.C. Capital Bikeshare system to determine trip patterns related to high frequency transit services and separated cycling infrastructure.
With Three Streams Engineering I coordinated multi-disciplinary engineering team work during the design and construction of piping and equipment replacement for several projects with a combined value over $100,000,000. These projects included engineering design, specification, procurement and ensuring quality control for equipment including duplex stainless steel pumps, high pressure vessels, instrumentation, valves, piping fabrication, heaters, structural steel, buildings, electrical systems, and piping and equipment removal. I worked directly with clients for project progression, schedule and budget reporting. I was also involved with coordinating and providing critical construction technical support for RFI's and commissioning.
My finely tuned technical writing skills were developed writing bid tender packages, contractor construction guidelines, technical specifications and test procedures. I am also skilled with many computer software including AutoCAD, Pro-Engineer, ArcGIS, SPSS, Adobe Indesign, Abode Professional and Microsoft Office.
