Zimmer Orthopedic -
January 2014 to June 2015
Vertical multi axis mills and lathe operations. I specialized in production manufacturing the Zimmer Glenosphere line of shoulder modular implants; as well as Zimmer's offset and trepan groove modular heads. I utilized various lathes for competition of the step by step process, from cast to finish turn. My time there I also utilized Excel multi axis mills and Takasawa lathes to complete Zimmer's humeral stems. Other job duties were program trouble shooting, prototype program testing, machine set up, machine maintenance, and quality checks. Most of my work was primarily done alone with very minimal supervision.
My team from January to June was able to recover production numbers back to a stable stance by the second quarter. Projected production for the Glenosphere line up when I started was down to 38% capacity, when I left capacity was up beyond 80%.
My team also recovered the modular stem system, from 45% capacity to above 60% capacity by June.
During my time we managed to reduce production time on our Glenosphere line up with our rough and finish turn process; cycle time was reduced from 11 minutes to less than 7 while using one less tool.

Biomet Orthopedic -
January 2014 to August 2014
My prime roll at Biomet was manufacturing of micro-fixation cranial implants and surgical guides. My main focus was machine set up and quality. Using a multitude of Kitamura my-center vertical mills I was able to manufacture at high volumes allowing Biomet to maintain their projected numbers for that quarter. My duration at Biomet was brief, however my experience gained was immense.
2009 to 2014
Manufacturing / Production experience:
• Currently I have 3 years in the orthopedic industry involving CNC machining, CNC programming, and quality systems. I understand FDA regulations and ISO quality standards well and apply them daily.
• My machining and programming experience gives me the flexibility for a variety of various tasks involving CNC controls and manufacturing. I insure good documentation practices and the highest in quality standards. I also have manual multi axis mill experience.
• My computer aided design experience is through many different companies and clients. As a contractor the variety in work allowed me to obtain experience with more than one design platform; this also helped me to understand a variety of different company quality and manufacturing standards.
