Honesto jr. J.
Choral conductor, music transcriber / engraver, geographer, arranger
I am a bachelor's degree (geography) graduate from the University of the Philippines - Diliman, with 6 years experience in writing (academic and technical), and 8 years experience in music and audio production (orchestration, transcription, editing, choral arrangement).
Being a part of the only tertiary level academic institution of geography in the Philippines since 2006, my experience with academic writing includes research on socio-economic profiles of indigenous Filipino groups, current trends of geographic education, and disaster risk management by local government units. Aside from the academe, I have also worked as a freelance writer for EssayWriters.com since 2009, writing essays on various topics (geography, tourism, American history).
However, more than writing, I can say that my passion in the recent years has tilted towards music and music production. My experience with music production includes choral arrangement, piano reduction, orchestration and music transcription (printed music sheets to digital format) for my local church since 2007. I myself play various instruments (guitar, piano, bass guitar, drums), with piano as my main instrument. Although I majored in geography in the university, I managed to get credits on music theory, orchestration and indigenous Philippine music instruments. Locally, I have also done cleaning/cutting of vocal tracks of audio-visual presentations as a part-time job.
For digital music production, I use Finale 2014, Noteworthy Composer, Adobe Audition, and Audacity.
